Donald Rizzolo Obituary

Donald Paul Rizzolo, age 88, late of Fayetteville, NC, formerly of Chicago, IL; US Navy Veteran. Cherished husband of the late Catherine (nee Marren); beloved father of Donald Jr. (the late Linda), Matthew, Mark, Michael (Reade) Rizzolo, and Mary Kay (Roddy Mann); loving grandfather of Jessica Avriette, Hunter, Jack, Coco, Mary Mac Rizzolo, and Bella Mann; devoted son of the late Matteo and Helen (nee Jurek).

Don was a graduate of the Chicago Vocational High School, the City Colleges of Chicago and the Chicago Technical College. He began his professional career at Westinghouse Electric in 1952 while enlisting in the United States Navy from October 1952 to September 1956, and the Reserves from September 1956 until the September of 1960 as an Aviation Electronics Technician. In approximately 1979, Don relocated from Chicago to Fayetteville, NC and eventually retired from Westinghouse Electric in 1994. He was a Senior Member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and the American Legion. 

Graveside services will be celebrated on Friday, July 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 6001 W 111th Street, Alsip, IL. Family and friends will gather at the Saint Patrick Interment Chapel located to the left of the Main Chapel of the Sacred Heart beginning at 10:45 a.m. Don will be laid to rest next to his wife, Catherine, in Section 26, Block 18, Lot 10, Grave 11.
